BY PLANE

The nearest airports to Siena are Florence, Pisa and Rome Fiumicino. 
Florence airport "Amerigo Vespucci" (68 km)
Shuttle connections with the Santa Maria Novella (SMN) train station in Florence every 45 minutes; Florence city center by taxi in 15-20 minutes and, in about 20 minutes, with the Sita/Ataf "Fly by Bus" service between the airport and the train station SMN. From Santa Maria Novella station you can reach Siena by train with departs from h. 6.00 to h.22.00. From SMN) train station in Florence you can reach Siena by bus with Tiemme SpA bus service. Pisa airport "Galileo Galilei" (150 km)
Daily connections between the airport of Pisa and Siena (and vice versa) by bus in about 110 minutes. Tickets can be purchased inside the airport at the Information Office (open daily from 7.00 to 23.00 - Tel. 050 849300). Bus terminal is located just outside "Arrivals Terminal". Rome Airport Fiumicino "Leonardo da Vinci" (263 km)
Daily transfers between Fiumicino Airport and Siena (and vice versa) by bus Gran Turismo (Tiemme SpA in collaboration with SIT and ByBus) in about 3 hours. Starting at platform number 1 and 2 of the BUS STATION parking area located next to the Terminal 3 exit. Tickets are available online and at shops. BY TRAIN

From South (Naples / Rome / Orvieto):
We may want to change to Closed.
From North (Milan / Bologna / Venice / Turin):
We may want to change in Florence.
From Pisa:
railway line Empoli-Pisa-Siena, changing at Empoli (time runs two hours). The railway station of Siena is located approximately 2 km from the city center, 20 minutes walking distance, or by bus n ° 3 - 8 - 10 - 17 to 77.

Siena is connected daily with numerous Italian cities. 
Florence:

The long-distance bus terminals are located in the center of Siena at La Lizza and opposite the train station in Piazzale Rosselli.

 

BY CAR

Coming from the north (Turin / Milan / Venice / Bologna / Florence / Florence Airport):
take the A1 motorway "Milan-Rome-Naples" towards Roma, take the exit "Firenze Impruneta" (formerly known as "Florence Certosa"); then take the motorway RA3 Florence-Siena (56 km).
Coming from South (Naples / Rome / Fiumicino Airport / Orvieto):
take the A1 motorway "Milan-Rome-Naples" towards Florence, exit at "Valdichiana"; then take the highroad Bettolle-Siena SS715 (59 km).
Coming from SOUTH (Grosseto / Maremma coast / Argentario):
along the highway Grosseto-Siena (SS223) take the Siena exit.
Coming from EAST (Perugia / Umbria):
along the highway Perugia-Bettolle towards Siena, near the exit A1 Valdichiana, continue on the highroad Bettolle-Siena SS715 (59 km).
Coming from Pisa / Pisa Airport (135 km):
along the motorway S.G.C. Livorno-Firenze towards Firenze, take exit Ginestra Fiorentina and head towards Cerbaia and San Casciano Val di Pesa, than take the highroad Firenze-Siena towards Siena.
